Murat Karabay

Murat Karabay is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Globtec Investment LLC. He and two partners founded Globtec Investment in 2005, and under his leadership, the firm has grown into a global investment company.
Prior to founding Globtec in 2005, Mr. Karabay was the Managing Director of the Subsidiary of the second largest German construction and service group Bilfinger in Turkey.
His main areas of business include, general management, global joint ventures, fund management, mergers and acquisitions, crisis management and restructurings.
Mr. Karabay earned an MSc. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on aerospace with magna cum laude from the University of Darmstadt Germany in 1992 and an MBA with a focus in Distressed Debt Market and distressed securities from the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) in 1995.
